The undershirt is with two button neck closure. Matching underpants have buttons at the front and back at the waist for size adjustment. Sturdy stitching throughout
Manufactured in the Soviet Union / Russia in 1990 - 1992, within the last year or two before the breakup of the USSR in December 1991 or immediately thereafter,   this set is made according to the old Soviet Army specifications (as certified by the USSR GOST manufacturing standard code shown in the factory tamp). This traditional set is very similar to much earlier military issue underwear used in the Soviet Army during WW2 and even by the Imperial Russian Army. .
We have few sets in stock, all with
1990 - 1992
dates of manufacture.
Both the underpants and undershirt bear matching factory stamps showing Size 50-4 which is roughly US Medium / Long.
The actual measurements are:
Undershirt
:  46" chest with 22" sleeves ("cuff" to shoulder seam), back measures 29" from collar to hem
Underpants
: about 34" waist. "Inseam" is 28". The pants are about 12” wide at the ankles.
All sets we have are in  unused condition, but they show storage dust, occasional faint stains or light discoloration from storage, none of it very noticeable or detractive. There are no significant stains, blotches or tears.
This is an absolutely indispensable item for a proper Red Army reenactment. The Enlisted soldiers and NCOs in the Soviet Army and Navy were not allowed to wear any other underwear .
