    Description

    Russian Sleeveless "TELNYASHKA" TANK TOP Shirt with NAVY BLUE Stripes.
    SIZE: MEN'S Small/Medium (Russian Size 52-2). Measures approximately “38" under arms around the fullest part of the chest, Front body length approximately “29" from highest point on the shoulder to the bottom hem.
    BRAND NEW, unissued condition with tag. In 100% cotton; a comfortable, stretchy double knit. The stripes are WOVEN not printed (unlike the cheap imitations that we see on the market) and are as blue on the inside as on the outside. This T-shirt was recently made in Russia but virtually indistinguishable from Soviet era “maika” tank tops.  The dark blue stripes would be correct for Navy or Naval Infantry (same as black stripes) but this specific shirt is a part of limited edition specifically made for Nakhimov Naval School.
    PLEASE NOTE: a telnyashka should be washed in cold water and never in hot. It will shrink about a size if you wash it in warm water. It should probably be line dried her than dried in a drier.
    Please remember: these are always worn very close-fitting (much tighter than in our photograph!), so expect your new shirt to have a very snug fit!
