    The

    stripes are correct for Russian
    MVD
    (Ministry of the Interior)
    OMON Special Forces.
    SIZE:
    MEN'S SMALL
    (Russian Size 48-50).
    Measures approximately 37.5-38" under arms around the fullest part of the chest, Front body length approximately 28" from highest point on the shoulder to the bottom hem.
    BRAND NEW, unissued condition with tag. In 100% cotton; a comfortable, stretchy double knit. The stripes are WOVEN not printed (unlike the cheap imitations that we see on the market) and are as maroon on the inside as on the outside. This T-shirt was recently made in Russia but virtually indistinguishable from Soviet era “maika” tank tops.  There is a sewn-in manufacturer tag of a Russian factory showing a quality control stamp and size.
    PLEASE NOTE: a telnyashka should be washed in cold water and never in hot. It will shrink about a size if you wash it in warm water. It should probably be line dried rather than dried in a drier. Please remember: these are always worn very close-fitting (much tighter than in our photograph!), so expect your new shirt to have a very snug fit!
